Poe Plan of Philadelphia version 1 – Final

Download this PDF

The following images are examples of different views you can use while looking at the PDF. The images below are raster/bitmap images, so zooming in will make them, eventually, as Edgar Allan Poe would say, “look like poopy.” The PDF, however, I made using Adobe Illustrator so it’ll stay as beautiful as Virginia and Elmira no matter what you do with it.

Each thumbnail leads, eventually, to a 2014 x 1432 PNG.

Philadelphia_Basic

Above is one of the more basic views with a numbered list of locations. Use the bookmarks to show various kinds of location markers.

Philadelphia_Grid

Above shows the list using grid coordinates corresponding with the horizontal and vertical grid. For a little help, you can also make little dots appear for all locations.Philadelphia_HomeWork

The “Poe’s Homes” bookmark shows all three Poe family homes (yellow stars). There are separate bookmarks for each of the publications Poe worked or wrote for (purple stars). There are other locations for the toggling in the Layers pane.Philadelphia_Numbers

At present, the Numbers bookmark displays all the numbers as shown above. The next version will have more specific tools for displaying them not all piled on top of each other and oodles of additional goodies.

Also stay tuned for similar modernification and technologicalification of the Poe Plan’s for New York, Richmond, and Baltimore as well as the eventual consolidation in a rock and roll PDF called The World of Poe.
